The Manor House Activity & Development Centre provides amazing Activity Holidays and Courses for everyone – if you are looking for some sort of Activity Break, I am sure you will find it with us!
The Manor House is the ideal venue for groups of all ages and sizes looking to experience a variety of exciting adventurous activities in a comfortable homely setting.
We offer exceptional, personal service quality activity sessions and lessons in the fabulous Cornish countryside and coastline.
Amongst activity centres we strive to be something different! Our 18th Century Manor House has been tastefully restored and offers a ‘Country Home’ style accommodation including a lovely warm and friendly lounge, with a log fire in the winter months and a luxury Spa Pool Jacuzzi for use of our adult guests in the private garden.
One of the main reasons our clients return to us year after year, apart from the fabulous courses we run, is that often they do not have to share the Manor House with anyone else - sole occupancy is free to groups above a certain size! Call us to check if your group qualifies…
We offer Activity Holidays and Field Study Courses for school groups. Multi-Activity Courses are offered to include many outdoor activities ‘From Dawn ‘til Dusk’. Activities may include water sports as well as land based pastimes, check the activities list on the schools page for more information.
Field Study Courses are also offered and we provide support necessary for groups to fulfil their study requirements or full board accommodation is provided for groups wishing to organise their own studies. Take a look at the Schools Page for full details of the schools trips we offer.
As the backbone to our courses and holidays are our TEAM, who are very special individuals; highly qualified, very focussed and a lot of fun! However to ensure that we continue to have such a select, elite team, we also provide Outdoor Instructor Training. Our Outdoor Instructor Training Program runs during the winter and provide the grounding for a successful career in the outdoor industry. We have for a long time been known as a centre of excellence in the development of outdoor professionals and through this course we have formalised the training ensuring that many others have the chance to gain from our team’s expertise and experience.
During the weekends, when the school groups are safely at home, we provide up market, civilised Hen Party Activity Weekends for groups of up to 32 Ladies! Our Hens choose a program of activities which can include Surfing or other activities or our pampering afternoons of massage, reflexology and relaxation, along with use of the Spa Pool and a tasty Cornish Cream Tea! Groups of families take over the whole Manor House for a truly tailored and exclusive family break. During the organised holidays, outdoor activities are included on a daily basis, still providing plenty of family time too. Family members can enjoy different activities and you can rest assured that the children are in safe hands perhaps at the Adventure Park, whilst Mum & Dad enjoy a Sea kayaking expedition or some other activity they have always wanted to do!
During July & August we often run children's Summer Camps and despite the name, the children are accommodated in the Manor House not at a camp site! These activity holidays offer children the chance to develop their outdoor skills, confidence and independence in a family environment. Group sizes are limited to twenty five to preserve this homely feel and to ensure maximum attention for each individual child staying with us.
