Planning Your Trip
We help with the planning and organisation of your trip to save you time!
Suggested Kit Lists, Medical Consent Forms and a Bedroom List are sent to you in advance to help in the organisation of the trip.
Teacher Resources are provided to supplement a course when required and these include worksheets, questionnaires, and teacher resource packs from galleries/aquariums/Eden Project as required.
All arrangements are made by us to ensure that the time you need to spend on planning your course can be kept to a minimum. We arrange all the visits and activities intended for your course and all the associated costs are included in the cost of the trip.
Transport can be provided throughout the trip and discounts may be given for Schools choosing to provide their own transport.
All of our drivers are minibus qualified and the centre has a PCV Operators Licence. Collections can be arranged from Bodmin Parkway Train Station and Newquay Airport at no additional cost.
Health & Safety
Risk Assessments are provided on request for all the activities included in your itinerary and copies of insurance and licenses can also be supplied.
The Manor House is Licensed by Adventure Activities Licensing Service for the provision of Activities to young people and vulnerable adults. Our AALS reference number is R0277; please ask if you would like a copy of our licence our visit the AALS Website at http://www.hse.gov.uk/aala/aals.htm
The Manor House is also recognised and approved by British Canoeing (https://www.britishcanoeing.org.uk/) holding the British Canoeing Quality Mark and Bristish Stand Up paddleboard Association (BSUPA - http://www.bsupa.org.uk/)
We also hold the Adventuremark (http://www.adventuremark.co.uk/), Quality Badge from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC - http://www.lotc.org.uk/lotc-accreditations/lotc-quality-badge/).
Our team all hold nationally recognised governing body qualifications in the activities in which they lead. Most are highly qualified instructors who also train students to become qualified outdoor instructors during the winter season.
Our Team will be with you from just after breakfast right through until 10pm at night. The Late Duty Instructor will check the security of the premises before locking up and leaving for the night. There are members of staff on site throughout the night who are readily available should you have any problems during the night.
